The best soft serve ice cream in Los Angeles is coming to Irvine.

Honeymee Ice Cream announced this week that it’s planning to open a new Irvine location on the corner of Harvard Place and Main Street later this fall.

The fast-growing ice cream chain is earning rave reviews for its creamy soft serve ice cream that’s drizzled with honey and topped with natural honeycomb chips. In June 2015, CBS Los Angeles named the Korean-style sweet shop to its list of the “Best Soft Serve Ice Cream In Los Angeles.”

honeymee-website-about“Honeycomb ice cream has become a huge trend in South Korea, with chains like Softree taking off,” explains Krista Simmons, a food writer with LAist. “It’s definitely an indulgence, but there’s a levity to it that doesn’t leave you feeling like a glutton who needs to hit the confessional afterwards.”

To assuage your guilt, HoneyMee uses only 100% pure and natural honey, certified Kosher dairy products, and no artificial colors or flavors.

“We love that something this delicious can have such positive health benefits, such as increasing antioxidant levels and promoting digestive health,” the company says. “It also has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties. All the more reason to savor every spoonful!”
